Such a fabulous piece of writing and interviewing … now obviously desperate to go to their shop. I’ve been past a few times and clocked the sign (so intriguing, like all good shop signs) but never managed to stop.

Thank you so much - that’s great to hear. Yes you should go before it moves to Hackney!

I'm thinking of doing a longer piece on this soon actually, but my favs things to do in Brockley are walking around Hilly Fields and the Wickham Road conservation area. Foodwise I like Malaysian deli and Jerk Garden the most I think. Tbh I think one of the best things about Brockley is its proximity to places like Lewisham, Nunhead, Deptford, Catford and New Cross. Really love Telegraph Hill and Nunhead Cemetery too. If you're looking for Lewisham and Catford reccs and haven't seen already, I've written big guides to both!

Many thanks! Agree about Brockley's proximity to different areas. I have plenty of exploring to do.

How I've not heard of this before.... Clearly, I'm out of touch. Will definitely be paying a visit, sounds magical.

Oh what a delight. I am going to spend far too much time in this shop when it moves. I've also just realised my dad was a bookrunner for a fair bit of my childhood.

Bruno Halper is Nigella Lawson’s son, his grandfather is Nigel Lawson.. Margaret Thatchers chancellor of the exchequer. A bit rich from these two stating they’re disgusted by the march of capital through central London. It’s afforded him this quaint life he now has through his family’s wealth.
